Terms of Use & Sale

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Please read these terms carefully. They explain how the Lussavara website works and the basis on which we quote for, supply and install fire protection, mechanical and plumbing equipment.

1. About us and these terms

These Terms of Use & Sale ("Terms") apply to your use of this website (the "Site") and to any request, quotation, order or service arrangement between you and Lussavara Company Limited ("Lussavara", "we", "us"), a specialist mechanical contractor and supplier of fire protection, mechanical and plumbing equipment based at Ubungo Plaza, 1st Floor, Ubungo, Dar es Salaam, P.O Box 35980, Tanzania.

By using the Site or sending us a request you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If we have signed a separate written contract with you (for example a project contract), that contract prevails over these Terms wherever the two conflict.

2. Using the Site

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

  • give false or misleading information in any form, quote request, review or message;
  • interfere with, probe or overload the Site, or try to access areas or accounts that are not yours;
  • copy or scrape the Site at a rate or in a way that affects other users.

We may suspend or restrict access if these Terms are breached.

3. Products, prices and stock

  • Prices are shown in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS). Where the Site shows VAT (currently 18%), it is shown separately.
  • Prices, stock levels, images, descriptions and size/variant lists on the Site are indicative. They are confirmed only in our written quotation or order confirmation.
  • A product may differ from its image in appearance, model or packaging. Please check the specification with us before you order.
  • We may correct obvious pricing or listing errors before an order is confirmed.

4. Requests, quotations and orders

  • Adding items to the cart, sending a cart request or submitting a quote request is a request for pricing, not an order. No payment is taken on the Site.
  • We will respond with a written quotation. The response times shown on the Site are targets, not guarantees.
  • Unless the quotation says otherwise, it is valid for 14 days.
  • A binding contract exists only when we confirm your order in writing after you have accepted the quotation (for example by written acceptance, a Local Purchase Order (LPO) or any deposit the quotation requires).
  • Once an order is confirmed, changes or cancellations may incur costs — for example for special-order items or work already carried out.

5. Payment

Payment terms are set out in your quotation, order confirmation or invoice. Amounts are payable in TZS unless we agree otherwise in writing. If payment is late we may pause delivery or work until the account is brought up to date.

6. Delivery and pickup

Goods may be collected from Ubungo Plaza (bring your LPO or the reference from your quotation) or delivered where agreed. Delivery charges and estimated dates are stated in your quotation; dates are estimates and not guaranteed.

Please check goods on delivery or collection and tell us promptly — and in any case within the period stated in your quotation or delivery note — about any visible damage, shortage or wrong item.

7. Installation and project services

  • The scope, materials, programme and price of installation work are defined in the quotation. Changes to scope are agreed in writing before they are carried out.
  • You must give us safe access to site, and the information and permissions we reasonably need.
  • We carry out specialist mechanical works under our registration with the Contractors Registration Board (CRB). Test records and handover documentation are provided as described in the quotation.
  • Whether a system is accepted by an insurer, fire authority or other regulator depends on the building, the design basis and that body's own requirements. We do not guarantee any approval unless we have expressly agreed in writing to obtain it.

8. Product certification and documentation

We supply equipment from recognised manufacturers and can provide manufacturer documentation. Approvals and listings (for example UL, FM or BS) apply to specific models and configurations and differ from item to item. Please ask us for the certificate or datasheet for the exact item before you order — we will include it with your quotation where it is available.

9. Faulty goods, returns and warranty

Manufacturer warranties apply where the manufacturer offers one. If goods are faulty or not as ordered, tell us promptly and we will repair, replace or refund as appropriate.

Unless your quotation says otherwise, return of correctly supplied goods — and of special-order, cut-to-length or fabricated items — is at our discretion. Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have under Tanzanian consumer-protection law.

10. Your account

  • Give accurate details when you register and keep your sign-in details confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been misused.
  • The account area shows the status of your requests and lets you message us. Status information is provided for convenience and may lag behind our records; the binding record of any order is our written quotation or confirmation.
  • You can stop using your account at any time. We may suspend an account that is misused.

11. Messages and support issues

You can contact us through your account, WhatsApp, phone or email. Please include your request reference and accurate details. In a fire or any other emergency, contact your local emergency services first — do not rely on the Site or an online message.

12. Ratings and reviews

Ratings and comments you submit must be honest and based on your own experience. You allow us to display them on the Site, and we may edit or remove content that is unlawful, abusive or misleading.

13. Learning content

The Learn section and other guidance on the Site are general information only. They are not engineering design, legal or compliance advice, and are no substitute for the applicable codes and standards or a qualified engineer.

14. Intellectual property and trademarks

The Site's text, design, logo and images belong to Lussavara or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. Third-party brand and product names (for example Stat-X or Victaulic) belong to their owners and are used only to identify products or techniques; their use does not imply any endorsement by, or affiliation with, those owners unless we state so.

15. Third-party services and links

The Site links to or embeds third-party services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and YouTube. They are provided by others, operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

16. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, the Site is provided "as is" without any promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit; and our total liability for any claim relating to goods or services is limited to the amount you paid us for those goods or services.

17. Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Changes apply to your use of the Site after they are posted; quotations and orders already confirmed remain governed by the Terms in force when they were made.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. We will try to resolve any dispute amicably first. Unless a separate contract says otherwise, the courts of Tanzania have jurisdiction.
